Typewriter Ribbons - Petite Range
We recieve lots of enquiries regarding the Petite range of typewriters.
Unfortunately this range was classed as a toy and therefore only distributed through the toy channel - (i.e. only sold through Toy Shops).
Commercial suppliers such as ourselves did not sell these machines and did not sell the parts.
The Petite Company is no longer in existence and none of the spare parts or ribbons are made any more. We have tried to find spare parts and ribbons on behalf of our customers, but there does not appear to be any available anywhere.
The ribbons that the Petite machines use are much smaller/narrower than normal commercial machines, so we cannot use a commercial ribbon to solve the problem, because as soon as you cut commercial ribbons, they start to disintegrate really quickly and besides you get ink all over your hands.
So apart from throwing the machine away and buying a second hand commercial one from Ebay or such like, there is not a lot that can be done to help you.
